This is a painting by my sister Kathleen Cope Ruoss of the farm I grew up on. |
I was raised in eastern Pennsylvania in a beautiful circa 1832 stone farmhouse decorated with antiques. This inspired me to start collecting antiques at a very young age. I had a fairly large collection when I got married in 1974. We moved to Johnstown, Pennsylvania and bought our first home. Eventually our home became too small due to four children and my antique collecting. I was forced to start selling, thus the shop began in 1984. My original shop was known as Homestead Antiques. |
